You should take a look at the Overachiever’s Diary by Lou Tharp. The man has accomplished quite a bit in his life, but perhaps one of his greatest accomplishments happened when he was just being himself.
Once you visit the website, you can read the whole story. Lou Tharp is openly gay and a coach for the US Military Academy’s Triathlon Team. The West Point cadets he trains know he’s gay and despite what the powers-that-be have said, they don’t have a problem with it. Anyway, enough from me - go check out the website.
